Provided by Licensed Family Child Care Providers in Your Community
Beanstalk offers free or low cost care to eligible families with licensed family child care providers’ homes located throughout the greater Sacramento area. Our diverse network of select, licensed family child care providers offer families a variety of child care options to fit their needs. These homes are visited by Beanstalk staff on a regular basis.
Our staff also assess each FCC home using the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS), annually as part of a self-evaluation and FCCHEN homes must score an average of "good" on each of the FCCERS subscales.
Beanstalk offers families the opportunity for parent education, including Parent Advisory Committees (PAC), community referrals to health and social services, and completed assessments of each individual child's progress using development profiles and support parent involvement.
